How much is the CS3 Upgrade? Joy of Tech got it bang on.

I was horrified when i found out how much the upgrade to Adobe's CS3 was going to be here in the UK. You can read some of my rant on Creative Cow here .

Why do we get penalised here in the UK? You are talking about a 100% increase in the cost of buying the product here as opposed to buying it in the States.

I was so incensed by this difference I actually phoned up Adobe Systems who told me that an upgrade purchased in the US will not work with a UK copy of CS or CS2. I've since been contacted by a colleague from Apple in a dark underground carpark who said they thought this was untrue. Please send me an email if you are the first person to confirm this.

There is a silver lining to this cloud. First of all I will be very near the Adobe stand at NAB and you never know some nice person at Adobe might give me a copy just to shut up :)
