Shooting from a Segway on the TdF PDF Print E-mail
One interesting change to this years coverage of the Tour de France on ITV is the use of the Segway. I was quite amazed when I saw these photos sent by cameraman John Tinetti.

Now John is an excellent sports cameraman, but full credit to him for shooting backwards on the Segway. You steer with your knees, a bit like skiing. Acceleration is by moving your weight forward, slow down or reverse by leaning backwards. Top speed is around 12 Km an hour with a range of 22Km.
