I thought it was about time that I posted some up to date examples of my work. December through January is always a busy time for me as I have a number of jobs that run back to back. Editing every day under time pressure takes its toll, however I work with very talented cameramen & producers (the best in the business) and I think we produce some pretty good results.
The videos should open up in new windows. The Darts and Snooker are originally PAL SD 16:9 and the Volvo promo was shot and edited in glorious 1080 High Definition. The arial pictures have to be seen to be believed.  Ah, fabulous Lakeside in January at the BDO World Darts Championship. There is nothing like it, 1200 darts fans in a large bar for a week and a half. We made the final night opener for the BBC coverage to try to convey the atmosphere within Lakeside. 15MB  Take a look at this Volvo Ocean Race promo I cut from scratch in 3 days for the leg one presentation. The race this year has been covered in HD and it was a joy to put together some amazing images. All the graphics were done in Motion and a very special plugin was used for the end board. :)29MB (12fps to get the bandwidth down sorry!) 
As you probably have guessed already if you have read any of my website before, I enjoy working on the Snooker for the BBC. I was on my sofa back in '85 when 18 million people watched that famous game after midnight, so to be now working on something with so much history is an honour.
Fast forward to today and here is an opener I cut for the final of the UK Championship. 3.6MB              Comments (4)

written by Jeremy DeCoursey on January 24, 2009 Hey, That's a great effect for the Volvo promo, kinda looks like an adaption of the Volumetrix plugin. Really great. I only know Motion a little bit and haven't made any plugins (...yet) but was thinking it would have been great for the water to interact with the screen when it bursts out from the screen. So there are little flecks that distort the image behind it before running off. Jeremy ...
